Juanita has a park, "Juanita Bay Wetlands Park", or something like that.
It is on the site of an old golf course on Lake Washington between
Kirkland and Juanita. There are paved paths and boardwalks leading to
platforms sticking out into Juanita Bay. There is also an old bridge
that is closed to traffic which runs through some very nice wetlands.
It is wheelchair accessible, so your city-boy should be able to rough
it.

It is a good place for ducks in the winter, and gets very nice in the
spring. Keep eyes and ears open for rail too, as it is a good place to
actually see a Virginia Rail.
