Hi folks,
I saw a beautiful pileated woodpecker on Thursday morning (2/6)
between 9:00 and 9:15 am, in Lincoln Park, eastern edge of the woods
approximately opposite SW Rose St. He was high enough and the sun low
enough that his red "fringe" was backlit against the sky: a crown of fire.
What a privilege.
