I stayed out of this one the first time around, but have spent some time
thinking about it, and would like to make two comments. First, thank you to
Burt Guttman for stating the case so well and giving us all a gentle
reminder about a particular spelling which irks me more than any other.
(And might I add a tease about properly spelling G. W. Steller's name? ;)
Second, I believe that taking a little time to communicate more clearly
shows respect for one's readers, and we could all use a little more of
that. Thanks to all of you who do so - it makes this list more enjoyable.
