On Sunday, February 16, PAS will sponsor a field trip to the Vancouver
Lake area. Here are directions:
1) From I-5, take the Mill Plain Blvd exit (Exit 1-C).
2) Go east (a right turn from Portland) to Fort Vancouver Way (this is
the first light if you have come from Portland; the second light if
you've exited from I-5 South). Turn left.
3) Go straight on Ft. Vanc. Way, through the light at McLoughlin
(stopping is a good idea if it's red). Then the Clark College campus
will be on the right. Make a right turn into the first driveway into the
college parking lot. This is near the O'Connell Sports Center (a large
boxy building which is the first on the right after McLoughlin).

We will meet at 8 am.

If you are late, we will exit this lot and go north on Ft. Vanc. Way to
Fourth Plain. We'll turn left (west) on Fourth PLain and head out to the
lake.
Trip should be over by noon; bring scopes and binos. We will try
to fit in as few cars as possible (the more cars we have, the less stops
we can make due to parking and road blockage). EVERYONE IS WELCOME, no
matter your level of expertise.
