The Northern Hawk Owl is a real charmer... Monday, 9:00 AM he was in front of
the large gray building thats between the tennis court and the parking lot-
football stadium, on Washington near Elm... He seemed to be real contented
with his surroundings. He went in behind this gray building several times..
There was a Townsend Solitaire back there too,but he didn't seem to be
interested in it, nor the Pine grossbeaks near by... Once when dive-bombed by
a single crow you could see his hackles raise and after the crow got about a
100 yds away, he took after it like a bullet.... Seemed like it took him
awhile to get mad about it... I referr to this neat bird as he, not really
knowing its gender.... Does anyone know???
