After watching the effects of jetskis on sea-fowl behavior and on this
bird watcher's peace of mind at the Des Moines, WA, Marina area this
summer, we don't want them on our coast either! Add my NO in gargantuan,
may-seem-rude, shout-at-you, am-not-apologizing capital letters to any
upcoming citizen input/vote on this ridiculous, unnecessary intrusion into
natural places.

And I am very pro hi-tech regarding many aspects of human life,
but there are some exceptions such as jetskis and snow mobiles (don't get
me started).

Why not try a fast water sport, a real challenge, that takes genuine
skill, courage, and the ability to read the wind, the waves, and to
exercise quick thinking, e.g., wind-surfing, kayaking, and small craft
sailing (ever try to manage a small laser sail boat in a big wind?) Most
of the places you can do that don't have to involve (kayakers who use
good manners in skirting around bird flotillas, etc.) terrifying large
rafts of snoozing sea-fowl or disturbing breeding loons.. Jetskis on
mountain freshwater lakes? NOT ever! Let the jetski people have the
reservoirs immediately behind the dams-big open water spaces and nothing
else much likes those areas, anyway.

On my soapbox again!,
