My class and I enjoyed watching a Sharp-shinned Hawk in our school
creek. Last thursday is when we saw a very rare sight. The
Sharp-shinned Hawk swooped down and snacthed a Black-capped Chickadee off
of a branch for a midday meal. We were able to stand patiently and
quietly for about 20 minutes before it snatched its food. On last Friday
my teacher and another student watched a small hawk plucking the feathers
from a small bird.

Sincerly,
