A fair day of birding at Ocean Shores on Saturday revealed 67 species and
a couple of highlights,
Pt. Brown:
Rock Sandpiper
Wandering Tattler

Marina:
1 Palm Warbler

And at the North River access to Willapa Bay I had 1 Willet.
The day was far more eventful in mammals, 6 species total.
At the Raymond airport was about 70 Elk as wel as 4 black-tailed deer. On
the mudflats of the N. River a raccoon was trying to scare a mixture a
yellowlegs, crows and a Great-blue. Last night on an Owl prowl up to
Marysville where we had N. Saw-whets and a Barred (thankyou Chris Hill),
we had coyotes and a Beaver and to top it all off, while driving home I
had to wait for a couple of minutes while a very frightened oppossum
nervously crossed a residential street in Everett. Occasionally its good
to stop and examine the nonbird wildlife around us. 67 species of birds/6
species of mammals about equal enjoyment in my opinion.
