The Slater Museum will be having an *open house* Thursday evening 20
February from 5-9 p.m., and again Friday 21 February from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Anyone of the many of you who have always wanted to look at a bird
collection for your education--you have your chance now! Specimens of most
North American birds and many from other parts of the world. Skins, wings,
skeletons, nests, eggs. Largest egg and nest collection in the Northwest,
one of the largest wing collections in the world.

Along with it will be a lecture by world-renowned environmentalist and
captivating speaker Dr. Norman Myers, who will be speaking on "Mass
Extinction of Species: What We Can Do About It." UPS campus, Thompson
Hall 126, 4 p.m., Thursday.

To reach the campus, exit I-5 to highway 16 (to Bremerton). Turn right on
Union very quickly. About 2 miles north on Union to UPS campus. Thompson
Hall is only big campus building on your right. Street parking available.
