This report was made at 8:40 p.m. February 18th.


Returning TREE SWALLOWS were reported on the 17th at Ebey
Island in Everett.

A NORTHERN HAWK OWL has been seen regularly through at
least the 16th in Cheney. It was last found at 11th and Cedar. PINE
GROSBEAKS were found at 9th and Cedar. BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS
are in the area as well as a BLUE JAY at the corner of Washington and
Clover.

A GYRFALCON has been seen near the Snohomish Airport through
the 17th. Also on the 17th, a YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was
found in a flock of blackbirds south of Snohomish along Route 9.
An immature HARRIS' SPARROW was found in brambles on the south
side of the Lowell River Road just over 1/2 mile east of 2nd Ave.
and Lenora St. The bird was just east of the Everett city limits and
adjacent to Rotary Park.

Another GYRFALCON, along with PEREGRINES, SNOWY OWLS and
SHORT-EARED OWLS, was re-located in the Samish area between
the base of Samish Island and the fields west of the Samish "T".
