Hi, Tweets! There are Peregrines perching everywhere, it seems.
Besides Stewart and Belle, the downtown-WAMU Tower pair, there are also
"Freeway" at the Ship Canal Bridge, a female on the West Seattle bridge,
and another few birds in-and-around Seattle....grain terminal, Ballard,
etc. Anybody see any Peregrines on the Eastside?
Check out the Peregrine Sightings Hotline, 654-4423, for the latest info.
They would appreciate YOUR sightings, too! Call them in! And be sure to
read -- or take note of the presence of--legbands, whenever possible.
One funny note: Junior, WAMU '95, has been courting Freeway. She seems to
be tolerating him, but probably in mid-March, she will be off for her
northern nesting grounds.
Wouldn't it be cool to have another pair or two of Peregrines, nesting in
Seattle? Keep looking! --EB
