Since Robins have been of interest lately, I thought I might as well report
on the American Robins I have observed in the Lake Hills Greenbelt in East
Bellevue this year. I walk it 3-4 times a week. The number indicates the
maximum number of birds I observed on one of the walks during the week ending:

Jan. 4 - 20
Jan. 11 - 18
Jan. 18 - 8
Jan. 25 - 25
Feb. 1 - 26
Feb. 8 - 20
Feb. 15 - 67

On my walk this morning (Tues), I observed a Pileated Woodpecker denuding a
snag of its bark at the end of the boardwalk just west of 148th Ave. SE.
Also saw two Common Mergansers on Larsen L., as well as a number of other
ducks, and a Northern Shrike perched at the top of a tree at the east end of
the lake.
