Subject: Swallow at Marymoor Park (King Co. WA)

We had one swallow this morning at Marymoor. Uncertain whether it was a
Tree or a Violet-green.

The two adult Bald Eagles, presumably from the nest, chased an immature
eagle away from the north end of Lake Sammamish, then landed on the same
branch of a cottonwood overlooking the lake. Quite a sight, with lots
of calling to each other. A Northern Harrier hunted over the marsh area
paying the eagles no attention.

Virginia Rails were calling to each other for the third straight week,
in the marsh area just east of the lake platform.

Other than that, we had simply a very pleasant morning with about 40
species. A good look at a Golden-crowned Kinglet can make the morning
worthwhile all by itself.
