I do too. When I denigrated a certain subset of hardcore listers, Larry's
does NOT fit the stereotype I had in mind.

As a matter of fact, yes. I just got back from a quick trip to New
Mexico and (briefly) the Chiricahuas, and though I no longer have much use
for that particular Lane's guide (having been to southeast several
times) it certainly helped me learn my way around.

There are just some things you won't discover on your own. I would've
never known to go birding on the Army base in the Huachucas (sp) if it
weren't for the Lane's guide, for instance.
