I believe this topic was also addressed here on Tweeters in the past, but
since so many seem to be new to the list it doesn't hurt to post a

- I didn't realize this. In my case an attachment always gets dumped into
some desktop file or other and I have to perform a search to locate it. By
that point I'm so annoyed I put it directly into the Trash without reading
it. Since I'm not the only one using this computer I hate to have someone
else's files cluttered up, especially if I don't see that there *is* an
attachment before I finish/delete the message. Then the attachment is left
somewhere in limbo until such time as the file in question gets reopened.

May I make a suggestion? Re-read your message when you receive it back as a
member of the list. It might help you see how it gets "translated."
