In response to your query posted to Tweeters: the most reliable location I
know for Burrowing Owls is Frenchman Coulee, immediately NW of the Potholes
area. I see one or more, I'd say, about 5 times out of 6 that I drive along
that road, usually decorating a fence-post next to the road, occasionally
perched on a sandy hummock within 50 yards of the road.
