By quoting me quoting somebody else, and then attaching it to multiple levels of
other quotes, somebody has caused my name to be associated, several times, with
with a couple rather serious attacks on academics in general. Further quotes by
others compounded the sin.

I wish to disassociate myself from the spirit and content of those messages.

My ~only~ personal remark on this subject was "Hear! Hear!" in response to a
writer who mentioned Petrel Doodoo regarding what he (and I) considered as
particularly narrow-minded, if not elitist (my words), remarks about
recreational birders in general. Period!
