Subject: First birds of 1997

The usual hordes of soggy house finches, house sparrows, golden crowned
sparrows, juncos, song sparrows were hanging out by my feeders.

As I watched out my kitchen window, suddenly from the right
in swooped a sharp-shinned hawk, right into the the midst of
the bushes.

Couldn't see if it caught anything, but it sure woke everybody up.
