Tweets,

All this talk of Varied Thrushes reminded me of an unusual
sighting i had on the grays harbor CBC on Dec. 21st: A partial
albino Varied Thrush. What was so strange about it was that the
white was a replacement of the orange pigment. This wasn't just
one of those pale female or young birds, it had a WHITE eyebrow
and underparts complementing the slaty upperparts. When I first
saw it in a tree in 3\4 profile mt heart did a thump-thump as I
thought it might be an Eye-browed Thrush or something but a closer
look revealed perfect Varied Thrush shape and other details, just
white where orange should be. I also found out later that an Eye-
browed Thrush (Siberian-Alaskan) does have an eyebrow but otherwise
doesn't look anything like a Varied Thrush. The sighting still
helped liven up a wet winter day.
