I will be flying into Seattle for a 10 day stay in Wa. and Or. May 17-27. I
will have a rental car. I plan to drive to Vancouver, go to the rain forest,
Mt Rainier, Columbia Gorge and the Oregon coast. I am traveling with a
non-birding partner so this will not be a hard-core birding trip but I will
be doing a lot of birding.

I would like to make some lodging reservations but I am having trouble with
the logistics. Any suggestions on where I should bird the first morning? I
will have 3 or 4 hours to bird the first morning so I need to make lodging
reservations as close as possible to cut down on driving time.

If I stay in the Woodland Park area I will be able to cover Discovery Park,
Green Lake, and Montlake Fill. Is this a good game plan?

Suggestions on pelagic trip!!
