While checking out the gulls at the pellet plant on Sauvie's Island at about
1:00 p.m. this afternoon (1/7) I saw a WHITE PELICAN in the flooded fields
next to the plant. I presume it is the same bird that was being seen
yesterday near Vancouver Lake. Sometime while I was scoping the gulls the
pelican took off and I did not see which direction it was headed. I did
find one GLAUCOUS GULL with the horde there.
