Just for the record

In June of 1990 an European Goldfinch showed up across the street from
Walla Walla park in Wenatchee. While we were all standing around admiring
its beautiful plumage we could hear Bobwhite calling just down the street.
We naturally assumed that the goldfinch escaped from the same location as
the Bobwhite.
