Subject: Accentor still hangin' around

The Siberian Accentor was still showing off near
Hailey Idaho yesterday (Saturday, Jan. 11) morning.
GO SEE IT! NOW! It's fairly cooperative, and you
can get great looks at it. This individual is a bit
brighter on the belly, throat, and face, a bit darker on
the back, and has more striking gray on the back of
the neck than what is shown in the NGS guide.
Very good driving directions can be found on either of
the Idaho RBAs. Yesterday the bird was not hanging
around the house which is opposite the green/white
trailer, but was at the end of that road, at a feeder at
the base of a tree in front of a gray house. The bird
seems to hang out with juncos.
Dress warmly. Wear something on your feet more
than a single pair of cheap socks and cheap Nike
wanna-be sneakers. Each of my toes is still a
different shade of blue. But it certainly was worth it!!!
