Yesterday (Sunday), while driving through Dungeness returning from the Spit
(where there were 2 Snowy Owls) I had an adult Grey-phase Gyr sitting on
the apex of tree for a few minutes, before it flew off - in the direction
of the Spit.
Luck is a funny thing: I have been up to the Samish Flats three times over
the past few weeks and failed to see either of the two Gyrs there.
