My first year with the suet feeder was zip. Not only could I not interest
(is that too many negatives in one sentence?) any woodpeckers, but nobody
else paid it the least amount of attention.

However, if I staked the suet block to a nail they loved it.

The second year, I hung the suet feeder from a chain in a tree near the seed
feeder. Instant success. Everybody loved it.

It's probably just too close to your door.

Good luck!
