They hate citrus zest - the white part of the fruit, not the zest itself.
You might try boiling an orange peel in water and squirting them with that.
Might work.

It it gets really bad, you can stick them under cool running water.
Basically, just get them wet - cats hate that. No flames, please, from any
cat lovers - I have a cat too. But it works! Sometimes it's the only thing
that gives them the message that the consequences are not worth the crime.
It also doesn't hurt them.
