Hi Tweets,
Today while working in the yard I distinctly heard "Quick
Three Beers". Somewhere near my yard there was an Olive-sided Flycatcher.
I immediately ran inside to get my binos and came out again to try to find
the bird. I heard it about 3 more times but never saw it. I have never
seen these birds in my yard before and I was pretty surprised to hear one.
My question is if they are have already come back to Washington yet or if
they are just arriving. Since my neighborhood isn't idea habitat I think
this bird must have been moving through. Any insight would be appreciated.
Other birds in my yard today were:
Chestnut-backed Chickadee
Black-capped Chickadee
Bewick's Wren
Red Crossbill (fly over)
Cedar Waxwings (fly over)
House Finch
Steller's Jay (making a wide variety of noises)
American Robin
Pine Siskin
Band-tailed Pigeon (fly over)
