The flooded areas bordering Lower River Road (Vancouver Lake area) are
starting to dry up. Yesterday, most of the waterfowl were near the end
of the road. Saw 2 pair of Canvasbacks, 2 male Eurasian Widgeon, Common
Goldeneye, 1 Ruddy Duck in winter plumage, (Lesser?) Scaup, and at least
50 snow geese. The usual crowd of Tundra Swans (seemed to be less than
last week) and a zillion or so pintails were also part of the crowd.
