Hi...

Sunday morning my husband and I went to the new Snohomish County Park & Rec.
Depts "North Creek Park". As we stood on the boardwalk in the middle of the
marsh watching an Imm. Bald Eagle fly low overhead flushing up hundreds of
ducks, and as we watched Virginia Rails scurrying about on the cinquefoil
(?), and watched our first Marsh Wren of the year calling from the marsh we
realized that maybe because this wonderful spot is so new not everyone knows
its here!

Directions: Nearest city - Mill Creek
>From I-5 take the 164th St SW exit. Head east toward Mill Creek. At the
intersection of 164th St SW and the Bothell-Everett Hwy turn right. Follow
the Bothell-Evt Hwy until you see 183rd St SE (Cascade Auto Wrecking sits on
the corner). Turn right on 183rd St SE. The park is towards the end of the
road on the right. The boardwalk allows you to stand in the middle of the
marsh *with dry feet* and birdwatch. I hope you like it. I know the County
ran out of enough funds before completing this project so I plan on writing
them to thank them and encourage them to complete the rest of the project. I
would have sent directions out yesterday so you could go and check it out but
couldn't get on-line. Enjoy!
