Here are a couple of addresses if you have binoculars you want to donate
to environmental education programs in developing countries:

The Belize Zoo
PO Box 474
Belize City, Belize C.A.

Send them to Sharon Matola, who has set up what is reportedly an
excellent environmental education program in Belize from her offices at
the zoo.


Fundacion Natura
Avenida America 5663 and Voz Andes
Quito, Ecuador

The major private environmental organization in Ecuador, they run
environmental education programs and also manage a small reserve outside
of Quito, apparently one of the last patches of uncut forest in the
central Ecuadorian Andes.


If you send binocs, indicate that you want to donate them for use with
their environmental education programs. Or better yet, take a birding
trip to a developing country, spend some money while there, bring along
your old binocs, and find a worthy organization or individual to give
them to while you are there.
