Subject: Weird Buteo?? Buteo buteo??

Mike Denny has located a strange-looking Buteo at
the McNary NWR in Walla Walla County. This bird is
probably the same buteo which caused a little rucous
last year at this same time. With a stretch of the
imagination, the plumage and behavior of this bird
might make it a Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo).

Pictures and further discussion can be found on this
hastily put-together web site:

If you wish to contact Mike, feel free to call him at
509-529-0080 (he especially wants to hear from you
at 3:00 a.m.) (Just kidding!!) Or email me.

Feel free to comment, agree, never criticize, and
scream in joy for this new WA record. Crowd control
is already in place.

Jim
