North Central Wash. usually has several/many Bald Eagles in winter.
Friends who live up the Methow River (out of Pateros) report seeing
50 Bald Eagles fly in to roost in same snag tonight. (Sat., Jan. 25th)
They came in around 5;00 p.m. today and usually leave between
7 and 9 a.m. This snag is 1/4 mile past the large house on left of
road known for its horses. On the river side of the road there is a
pull out. The snag is on road side of river, so quite close. If you get
as far as Black Pine Canyon, you've gone 1/4 mile too far.
The Highway is # l53, going north from Pateros.
