I saw the story on CNN about the plan, but found myself wondering why
Gorton thinks it's a bad idea. Also, the maps of the proposed "safe"
areas for wildlife seemed a bit thready...one of the persons said it was
better to make different types of habitat and scatter it so that the
Spotted Owl could live in a variety of locations rather then get fenced
into a circle. The amount of land, however, at first glance, seemed to be
greatly dininished.
