Hello Tweets,

Michael price noticed a recent exodus of peep at the Iona
ponds, and wondered if increasing numbers were being seen at sites
to the south. I'd have to answer "Yes" to that question. I birded
Crockett Lake on Whidbey Island with friends, on both Firday the
4th, and Sunday the 6th. The number of Westerns increased from
estimates of 1500 Westerns and 1-2 Semis on the 4th, to 4,000 -
5,000 Westerns & 10 Semis today , the 6th. There were, of course
Least Sandpipers seen but I can't really remember the estimates
we came up with. I think it was about 200 Leasts the 4th and
maybe the same today, for a decreased ratio as vs. Westerns at
the lake.
