More shorebirds, what else. On Sunday evening the following were present at Montlake Fill:

1 long-billed dowitcher
1 greater yellowlegs
2 spotted sandpipers
1+ western sandpipers
27 least sandpipers
3 killdeer

The main pond is now pretty much clear of loosestrife - though there is still quite a bit of mopping up to do long the SE corner. Connie and Johnc Sidles have started on the SE pond where the soil is still soft so pulling up plants is really easy. Progress is good but that doesn't mean you are absolved from lending a hand.
