Tweets,

some help with flycatcher i.d., if you could. This empid. plan bird showed
yellowish underneath, with a visible eyering, but I didn't get a good
enough look to see whether it had shape or not. The tail was rounded, with
a noticable notch in the middle. Could this be Hammond's? Mike Patterson's
web page suggested that Hammond's occasionally occured down to 200'; I'm at
less than 100' in cedar-fir-alder-maple forest. Thanks for your help.

I had an immature Cooper's hawk come by this morning, being escorted by a
chorus of crows. Also had my first nighthawks, calling and zooming, on
Sunday night.
