Subject: Binocular cases?

I finally bought a pair of binoculars last week (I decided on the B&L
Custom Compact, since light weight is important to me and I also wanted the
close focus for bugs). I'm pleased with the binoculars, but the never-ready
case means that they're, well, never ready. And even around my neck, since
there are no bottom lens covers and the strap attaches at a really bad
balance point, the bottom lenses are at risk from banging against my shirt
(which is generally covered with dog hair and who knows what else). Are
there any third-party case makers? Or have any of you come up with schemes
to protect the glass effectively while still being able to get at them
quickly?

Many thanks.
