the Ecola Point,Ecola State Park, Clatsop Co., OR
10 July 1997 0930 to 1030

Tide: out going
Weather: mostly cloudy
Wind southwest at 5-10mph; Temp 60F

Method: One hour (timed) station count from observation deck at Ecola
Point using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting rocks, sitting
on ocean.

Notes: The number of COMMON MURRES was noticeably down from last week
(22 000 on the rocks last week). There was lots of murres movements in
all directions. There were fewer BRANDT'S CORMORANTS on the rocks this
week as well.
