The murres were already dead when tagged. WDFW and UW biologists are trying to
learn something about the fate of carcasses that wash up on beaches. I'll try
to remember to post additional information when I learn more. Meanwhile, if
Tweeters find such tagged birds on the beaches, please leave them there.
