July 8th at 6:30 a.m. I went outside to investigate the robin racket, =
and
found a Barn Owl in our trees. He was also being bugged by an
oriole, kingbird and some starlings. (and later, a wren!) This is the
first Barn Owl I've ever seen in the Bridgeport area in the 27 years
I've lived here. I had to go to work, but it was still on the same limb
when I returned. In fact, a good number of us saw it before dark, and
with a scope could see a fairly fresh scar running down center of his
face, between his eyes. He left at 9:l5 p.m. What a treat! Bridgeport
