Re: The question about whether crows are protected. There is
a treaty with Mexico and Canada called the Migratory Bird
Treaty Act with protects most birds, including crows. The act
does allow states to set seasons on them (Washington has no
season on crows) and it is legal to kill crows (regardless of
season) if they "are depredating or about to depredate crops".
