NOTES:Another day of strong northerly movements by COMMON MURRES. Large
numbers of HEERMANN'S GULLS were moving north as well. The CLARK'S
GREBE (any comments on early arrival?) was well seen associated with
a nearby flock of SURF SCOTERS immediately south of the observation
station. The THAYER'S GULL gull also seems very unsual. It was a very
worn (nearly white) 1st summer bird associated with West/GW types. There
were at least 5 juvenile CASPIAN TERNS on the beach and many juvenile
CALIFORNIA GULLS.
