Heya Tweets,

Night before last we were surprised to hear a sound outside, very
close outside, that sounded like an angry cat. It was this piercing
shriek that cut through everything; not even the sound of the dryer and
the blaring TV could cushion its blow.
Thinking it was a hurt cat (or perhaps a stray banshee), we went
out with a flashlight to find
the poor guy. Suddenly, it was like a bad episode of Scooby-Doo (as if
there were ever a good episode...) : the noise moved! I started thinking
it was an owl, especially since I couldn't hear any wingbeating. The
shriek circled us and landed back on a tree right above our apartment.
Against the moonlight, we could make out the shape of a large bird, not
quite hawk-sized, but definitely bigger than a robin or three. We shined
the flashlight (Alan and Daphne would've been proud) and uncovered the
source of the piercing shrieks: a big owl. He seemed to resemble a
short-eared owl the most when we consulted our ID books, but the
short-eared owls we're familiar with skim the dikes at Skagit and fly
silently...

Can anyone among you other "pesky kids" help solve the mystery of "the
ghost of Henley Street?"
