Scott, Dennis, and others interested in Loon nesting in Washington.
There are confirmed or probable Breeding Bird Atlas records for breeding
in WA from the following lakes:
Pend Oreille Co.: Sullivan nad Big Meado
Okanogan Co.: Beth, Lost, and Spectacle Lakes
Ferry Co.: North Twin and South Twin Lakes
Chelan Co.: Wenatchee Lake
Whatcom Co.: Hozomeen, Ross, Terrell, Baker, and Whatcom Lakes
King Co.: S. Fork Tolt, Calligan, Mud, Chester Morse, Cedar, Eagle, and
Howard Hansen Lakes and Reservoirs
Grays Harbor Co.: Quinault Lake

Dennis, the northeastern Washington Lakes were surveyed for loon breeding
in 1985 by Alan Richards. If you want more info on NE WA breeding, he'd
probably be the person to contact.

(P.S. I got the blue-line copy for the BBA volume last week, so after
the Index formatting is repaired, and a missing map added, it will soon
be printed! There is hope that it might be on the shelves by the end of
August.)
