Subject: White-winged Dove

This is my first time posting a message so hopefully it gets through.

This isn't about a bird in Oregon but in the San Juan Islands. I was on a
kayaking trip to the Islands this weeekend when a white-winged dove flew into
camp. We observed it for at least ten minutes and I am positive of the ID. Is
this very unusual? The birdbook said they are found mostly south in New
Mexico and below. Can anyone give me any ideas. Thanks a lot!
