Birded Whidbey yesterday (Sunday) with Stuart MacKay and Donner (?).
Highlights were 2 Elegant Terns (moulting adults), one sitting on a post
on Swantown Lake. Other birds of interest were 1 Semi-palmated Sandpiper
amongst ~500 Westerns, and 2 RN Phalaropes on Crockett Lake. The waders
were spooked by a marauding Peregrine. Also 1 Whimbrel and 15 Sanderling
on Swantown Lake.
