This has been a continuing series in the Times, and what's even scarier
is that the hazardous waste isn't just being added to fertilizers, it's
being used as fertilizer. The waste products may be high in nitrogen,
potash, etc. but it's also high in cadmium, lead, arsenic, etc. And what
happens to the heavy metals? They become absorved into the food chain.
There's no end to the damage this can do to our waters, our crops, our
birds and our health. Enough soapboxing, I guess.
