Sightings for Tuesday, July 22nd

3 HEERMANS' GULLS, a COMMON EIDER, 2 RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS and a COMMON
LOON were off the Iona South Jetty. The HORNED PUFFIN was seen again today
off the West Coast of Vancouver Island. For information on this bird,
please call Adrian Dorst at 250-725-1243.

4 TURKEY VULTURES and 3 GREEN HERONS, including a1 juvenile bird, were at
Trinity Western University. The LAZULI BUNTING/INDIGO BUNTING hybrid that
has been at Interriver park in N Vancouver since May 26 has successfully
nested. A female LAZULI BUNTING was seen feeding a single young bird.

In late report for Tuesday, 2 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and 6 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS
were at Beach Grove lagoon on the rising tide. A VIRGINIA RAIL, an
AMERICAN BITTERN and 6 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were at Brunswick Point on
Monday.

Sightings for Tuesday, July 22nd

The CATTLE EGRET was not relocated today.

The 2 EASTERN KINGBIRDS along with 2 WILSON'S PHALAROPE and a RED-NECKED
PHALAROPE were reported from the Reifel Refuge.

Off the Iona Jetty were the COMMON EIDER, a BRANT, and a RED-THROATED LOON.

Monday, July 21st

A breeding plumaged CATTLE EGRET was located on 104th St., 100m north of
the Boundary Bay Dike on the East side of the road associating with a flock
of RING-BILLED and CALIFORNIA GULLS.

Two PEREGRINE FALCONS were reported from the Lynemore area of North
Vancouver.

The Iona sewage ponds held a PECTORAL SANDPIPER and 3 SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPER.

At the foot of 112th on Boundary Bay were 5 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER
