Yes there is. We carried and used 'Birder's Guide to France', compiled by
the Ligue Francaise pour la Protection des Oiseaux and translated by Tony
Williams. It is spotty, but did serve well to point us to areas that might
be of interest and to suggest places to go once in a region. I believe we
bought it at Flora and Fauna Books in Seattle (1st AVe). We also bought a
set of tapes in France, somewhat keyed to the Peterson Guide, which was
sometimes useful, but which announced all of the names (naturally) in French,
posing something of a challenge.

If you would like more detailed information about places we found good, why
don't you get in touch with me directly.
