Sightings for Sunday, July 27

A BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 2 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 135 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and
2 juvenile SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS were seen on the Blaine mud flats. One
RED-NECKED PHALAROPE is still at Reifel. The EASTERN KINGBIRD nestlings at
Reifel will likely fledge in the next few days.

Sightings for Saturday, July 26

The COMMON EIDER was reported from the Iona South Jetty and 5 COMMON
NIGHTHAWKS were in overflight in North Delta. A BARRED OWL was at the
beginning of the Lions Trail above Lions Bay and on the trail, RED-BREASTED
SAPSUCKERS were feeding young.

In a late report from Friday, 75 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, a SANDERLING, 2
SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and 30 CASPIAN TERNS were between the Roberts Bank and
Tsawwassen jetties. 100 CASPIAN TERNS and 2 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were in
the marsh at the end of the Tsawwassen jetty.

Sightings for Friday, July 25

A Western Screech-Owl was calling at 57th and Hudson in Vancouver at
midnight on Thursday night.
